De Facto Relationship
It is possible during or when a de facto relationship ends to enter into an agreement as to financial arrangements including a division of assets.
However, such agreement to be effective must be prepared by a solicitor and each party advised by a solicitor who signs a Certificate of Independence advice.
If you cannot resolve financial issues, proceedings can be commenced under the Property Relationships Act.
